Styrofoam pool liners
Styrofoam pools - also known as solid pools - are built into the ground and require a tear-resistant, strong pool liner, as this is exposed to the weather all year round. The Styrofoam material has a long life, is waterproof, stores heat and insulates. For Styrofoam pools, a winter-proof and robust 0.8 mm to 1.0 mm thick pool liner is installed for longevity.

Frequently asked questions for Styrofoam pool liners:
Due to the material of the pool liner, it is not possible for holes or cracks to occur in the pool liner without outside interference.
Possible causes are:
- Incorrect storage, e.g. below the minimum temperature of 5 °C specified in the operating instructions.
- Incorrect use of pool chemistry (incorrect dosage, etc.)
- Use of chemistry that is not suitable for pool operation
- Insufficient cleaning after dismantling - residues on the pool liner start to react and attack the material
- Holes can also be caused by animals (cats, birds, rodents, etc.)
The right pool liner for your solid pool
At Steinbach you will find a wide range of sizes for your Styrofoam pool liner with a left or right-hand corner entry, with Roman steps or with an entry via a ladder: lengths of 600 cm, 700 cm, 800 cm and 900 cm with a width of 300 cm, 350 cm, 400 cm or 500 cm and with a pool height of 145 cm or 150 cm.
The rectangular pool liners in Adriatic blue for any size of rectangular pool and entry option all have a thickness of 0.80 mm or 1.0 mm.
Installing the inner liner for Styrofoam pools
When installing the pool liner, the most important thing to ensure is that no wrinkles occur. The installation should not be carried out in direct sunlight, as the thermal expansion will not ensure an optimal fit of the pool liner.
The optimum outdoor temperature during installation should be around 20 degrees. In the summer months, the optimal time is early in the morning or late in the evening. The pool bottom as well as the pool walls must be dry in order to install the pool liner.
Lay out the liner at the bottom of the pool by placing the weld seam evenly in the corners all around. Start by hanging the liner on one side and then always hang the liner opposite each other in the hanging profile. The corners are laid last. When the liner has been properly hung in, fill your pool until you have a water level of about 5-10 cm. After this water level has been reached, smooth the liner from the centre of the pool outwards until it lies wrinkle-free in the pool. When the water level is about 15-20 cm, fit the bottom drain flange and the bottom drain cover. If a fleece is used, it must not be flanged as well.
When mounting the flange, it is important that you mount the flange before cutting out the fleece. Tighten the installation parts so that they are evenly fixed all around. The screws must only be tightened by hand so as not to overtighten the screws (do not use a cordless screwdriver). When the water level is about 40 to 50 cm, install the built-in skimmer, the inlet nozzles, the underwater spotlights and any other built-in parts. When installing the swimming pool liner with Roman steps, hang out the liner bag so that the steps are also covered.
The stairs are already pre-drilled to fix the flange. The flange, sealing tape and screws are attached next. The foil is cut cleanly along the flange inside the stair area with a sharp cutter knife. Since the sealing tape is pliable, the fit and torque of the screws must be checked after about an hour and, if necessary, slightly retightened with the screwdriver. The last step is to press the flange cover onto the flange until it snaps into place.
