Please note that the hose must be cut straight, deburred and cleaned. Clean the hose with the appropriate cleaner  (Art. No.: 062920) and then coat it with a suitable PVC adhesive (art. no.: 062902). 

This is due to the fact that the seals are lubricated inside with a lubricant - on the one hand for sealing and on the other hand so that the components can be adjusted more easily (plastic on plastic). After the first couple of turns, the lever will turn smoothly.

Yes, if the pipe has the right diameter for the adhesive sleeve, this is possible. Make sure that you fix the pipe sufficiently (e.g. with pipe clamps) so that no impermissible forces are transferred to the transition fitting.
