Frequently asked questions for Pool robots:

All pool robots from Steinbach and INTEX are suitable for salt water as long as the salt content in the water is below 0.5 % (salt electrolysis). Clean the pool robot thoroughly with clear water after each use. (Info: This removes chlorine and salt water residues - so the material is preserved for a long time and also does not fade as quickly).

No, the pool cleaner is designed exclusively for use in water. The unit cannot operate outside of water, and there is a risk of damage or malfunction.
To ensure safe and proper use, the pool cleaner must always be fully submerged in water.

This device is intended exclusively for routine cleaning of the floor and walls of private vinyl-lined pools.
The pool floor must be completely flat, smooth, and free of obstacles (e.g., no folds, floor drains, steps, or stairs). Likewise, the walls must be flat, smooth, and vertical (e.g., no pools with a floating ring), and the water level must be below the pool rim (e.g., no overflow pools). For pools made of other materials such as fiberglass, stainless steel, or tile, as well as for pools with built-in steps, the cleaning or wall-cleaning function may be limited depending on the surface and pool shape.

Always remove and clean the filter after use. Rinse the appliance with clean tap water after each use. Only clean the appliance with a commercially available bathroom cleaner, clean tap water and a lint-free cloth. Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents. Check the appliance for blockages when cleaning. Hair and similar dirt can penetrate the filter screen and be wound up by the pump shaft or the impeller. This so-called blockage can reduce the performance of the pump. Also check the rollers of the pool cleaner regularly. Hair and similar dirt can wrap around the wheels and block them. The cleaner's performance would be impaired.

We do not recommend leaving the pool cleaner in the water on a permanent basis. After each cleaning, the unit should be removed from the pool, cleaned, and stored in a dry place. This reduces wear caused by chemicals in the water and significantly extends the unit’s service life.

The pool robot is not suitable for use in ponds, biotopes, or swimming pools with biological water treatment (e.g., natural swimming ponds or natural pools). The device is not designed to remove large amounts of sediment or organic debris, which are typically found in such bodies of water.
