This titanium electrode is specially developed for the INTEX salt water systems of the Krystal Clear QS500 and CG-28668GS models. The electrode ensures consistent and reliable chlorine production to keep your pool water clean and hygienic. With a salt electrolysis system, the disinfectant is extracted directly from the water. This only requires a single addition of a small amount of salt (approx. 0.3%) to the pool water. Despite the salt concentration being around ten times lower than that of seawater, many users report that the water feels much more pleasant.
The disinfectant is produced by electrolysis of the dissolved salt directly in the pool water. The best thing about this is that the disinfectant produced is ultimately turned back into salt, which can be converted back into disinfectant. A closed cycle that requires not only electrical energy but also special titanium electrodes.
The titanium electrodes are provided with a special coating of ruthenium and iridium oxides. In addition to the energy-efficient extraction of the disinfectant, this also enables regular and automatic self-cleaning by changing the polarity of the electrodes. Despite the special coating, the electrodes are subject to unavoidable wear and are therefore available as spare parts for easy replacement if required.
