Why does my UV system not light up when it is removed?

The UV lamp only lights up when it is installed. If you connect the device to the mains outside the filter system, the UV lamp will not light up. This is a safety function. The lamp may only light up when installed. This is ensured by a reed contact in the lamp holder and a magnetic ring in the union nut. When installed, the reed contact detects the magnetic ring and enables the lamp to function after a few seconds. This prevents you from coming into direct contact with the UV radiation.

What can I do if my UV disinfection system does not work?

The UV disinfection system has a safety switch. This switch interrupts the power supply to the lamp when it is not installed. The function of the lamp can only be checked when it is installed.
If it is not possible to visually check the UV disinfection system when it is installed, the function can be checked using a commercially available electricity consumption meter for sockets.

Can my UV disinfection system be combined with an external timer?

Yes.
The mains supply of the UV disinfection system can be combined with an external timer. Ensure that the water flow in the filter system is guaranteed while the system is in operation.
