What do I need the Teflon tape for?

The Teflon thread tape is used for quick and easy sealing of threaded connections. Wrap the tape tightly around the thread (to the right for right-hand threads and to the left for left-hand threads), overlapping by half the width and tearing it off at the end. The Teflon thread tape adapts perfectly, ensures a secure seal and fits firmly into the threads when screwing.

Can I glue a PVC adhesive hose into PCV piping parts?

Yes.

Please note that the hose must be cut straight, deburred and cleaned. Clean the hose with the appropriate cleaner (Art. No.: 062920) and then coat it with a suitable PVC adhesive (art. no.: 062902).

Why is the 3-way valve from the bypass set is very stiff when used for the first time?

This is due to the fact that the seals are lubricated inside with a lubricant - on the one hand for sealing and on the other hand so that the components can be adjusted more easily (plastic on plastic). After the first couple of turns, the lever will turn smoothly.

Can I glue a PVC pipe into a transition fitting?

Yes, if the pipe has the right diameter for the adhesive sleeve, this is possible. Make sure that you fix the pipe sufficiently (e.g. with pipe clamps) so that no impermissible forces are transferred to the transition fitting.
